My goals as a journalist are to be able to work with a team to tell stories using the most appropriate format, whether it be a print story, an interactive graphic, audio file, photo essay, etc.

I've worked with one of the largest and smallest news organizations and have experience in reporting, writing, producing and editing in the various formats.  

I'm currently an editor for the Associated Press Mobile & Online departments. As an editor for both departments, I create and monitor headline packages in various categories (Top News, US News, International News, etc.) by selecting the stories from AP wires. In addition, I assist in collecting materials for the supervisory desk in breaking news situations and brainstorm with the AP Mobile team to come up with unique mobile content.

In addition to my full-time job, I'm the founder and editor of an independent hyper-local news site called The LIC Times. The LIC Times focuses on news and events going on in Long Island City, New York. Since I launched the site in January 2009, I've learned how to develop functionality using a Drupal content management system.
